Option 1: Healing with Film (Second Skin)

Day 1 (Right after your session):
Your tattoo will be covered with a special breathable barrier film (like Saniderm or Derm Shield). Keep this on for up to 24–48 hours, depending on your artist’s advice. The film protects the tattoo from bacteria, rubbing, and dirt.

What to expect:
Some fluid (plasma/ink mix) may collect under the film — this is normal.

After 24–48 hours:

Gently remove the film under warm running water.
Wash the tattoo with clean hands and mild, fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel — don’t rub.
Apply a very thin layer of healing ointment or fragrance-free tattoo lotion.

  Next days (Days 3–14):

Wash gently once or twice a day.
Keep it moisturized — not too dry, not too greasy.
No swimming, tanning, or direct sun.

Option 2: Classic Healing (No Film)

Option 2: Classic Healing (No Film)
Day 1:

Your artist will cover your fresh tattoo with a sterile bandage or plastic wrap.
Remove the wrap after 2–4 hours.
Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel — do not rub.
Leave the tattoo open to air for 10–15 minutes, then apply a thin layer of healing ointment.
Next days (Days 2–14):

Clean the tattoo 1–2 times daily.
Keep it slightly moisturized — use unscented lotion or tattoo aftercare cream.
Let it peel naturally — do not scratch or pick!
Avoid soaking (no pools, baths, or hot tubs).

Do not expose your tattoo to the sun during healing.
Wear clean, loose clothing.
If you notice any signs of infection (swelling, pus, fever), contact your artist or a medical professional.
